Acceptable use
Virtual try-on is for clothing only. The rules below say what is prohibited, and what Closeta actually checks. They do not describe a check the site does not run.

What try-on is for
Closeta sends a portrait you upload and a garment to Google’s Gemini model and asks for a styling reference. Shoppers do not write a prompt. The text sent to the model is a fixed try-on instruction written by Closeta. It asks for the garment to be placed on the person.
The 18-and-older box and the “this photo is of me” box are statements by the user. Closeta does not estimate age and does not verify identity.
Closeta is an independent site. Gemini is a third-party model. Closeta is not Google, and Google does not endorse it.
Prohibited content
You may not use virtual try-on to generate or upload sexually explicit, pornographic, sexually suggestive, or other NSFW images.
Child sexual abuse material is prohibited. Sexualization of minors is prohibited, including sexual content involving anyone who appears to be under 18. A fashion style is not an exception.
Do not create or upload non-consensual intimate imagery, including a nude or sexual image of a real person without their consent.
Do not use try-on for a deepfake that harms, deceives, or harasses someone.
Do not generate or upload illegal content.
Do not upload a photo you have no right to use. If another person is in the photo, you need the right to use it and their consent.
What is actually checked
The text sent to Gemini is a fixed try-on instruction written by Closeta; visitors cannot change it. Creem text review is turned off.
Whether a photo is acceptable is decided by the image check below and by Gemini’s own safety filters.
The portrait, the garment image, and the generated result are also sent to Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch. Adult or racy content at POSSIBLE or above, or violent content at LIKELY or above, means no image is shown and no credits are charged. The same happens when the check is not configured, the request fails, or a required likelihood is UNKNOWN. This is separate from Creem’s text review. Closeta has not enabled another pixel-moderation account.
The photos and the same instruction are sent to Gemini. Gemini has built-in safety filters. Closeta cannot adjust those thresholds on the API it uses, and it does not receive a separate pixel-moderation score. If Gemini names a safety block in its response, or returns no image, Closeta does not show a result and does not charge credits.
The image check is Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch. Without VISION_API_KEY the try-on stops. It does not pretend the pixels were scanned.
The local placeholder in development does not call Gemini. The portrait and garment still have to pass the image safety check first. If that check is not configured or fails, the placeholder is not returned and no credits are charged. Production ignores a placeholder request and uses Gemini, and the image check still runs.
Credits are charged only after an image is produced. We may refuse a request and suspend an account that breaks these rules. Write to support@closeta.io.
